I replaced my HD with a SSD on MacBook Pro 17". HELP !

Hi everyone. I bought a new SSD harddrive for my macbook. I cloned my original HD to my new SSD. I then took my old hard drive out and put the new SSD in. When I turn on my computer it gives me a folder with a ? on it. What did I do wrong? Help !!!

The device may have been defective out of the box;
if so, it would be under warranty to get another one.
What brand & model SSD is that? Perhaps there are
some online helpful hints related to that product...
Modern electronics don't necessarily need to be on long
for them to have a failure; and better if caught earlier.
So long as you have a complete working backup clone.
Of the kind the computer sees as a bootable OS X.
